The Jelly connector for Claude

Plan with Claude using the places you've saved and the ones your buddies loved, then send the plan straight to a Jelly jar.

Connect it

  1. In Claude, open Settings › Connectors

Find Jelly in the connector directory and tap Connect. If it isn't listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector, name it Jelly, and use https://jelly.travel/mcp.
  2. Allow it in Jelly

Jelly opens and asks you to sign in if you aren't already. Check it names your account, then tap Allow. You're sent back to Claude.
  3. Use it in a chat

Make sure Jelly is switched on in the chat's tools menu, then just ask.

Things to ask

What Claude can and can't do

It can

  • Read your jars, places, verdicts and notes
  • Know your taste: the price level and style you usually pick
  • See the places your buddies already share with you
  • Make jars and add places, asking you first each time
  • Save a preference you tell it, when you say so

It can't

  • Delete or move anything
  • See your email or change your account
  • See a buddy's private jars

Words Claude writes on a place show in Jelly credited "from Jelly", never as your own note.

The tools

get_my_tasteYour taste from everything you've saved: the price level you pick for hotels, restaurants and bars, hotel styles, cuisines, places you loved, and preferences you've told Claude.reads
list_jarsYour jars, where and when they are, how many places each holds, and a link to open each in Jelly.reads
get_jarEvery place in one jar, with its price and style, your verdict (Loved it, Liked it, Want to go) and your note.reads
search_my_placesSearches everything you've saved by name, note, area, kind or tag.reads
get_recommendationsPlaces in an area from your own Jelly and your buddies' favorites, ranked by how well they fit your taste.reads
create_jarMakes a new jar when you ask for one, optionally with up to 30 places you picked.writes
add_placesSaves the places you pick to one of your jars, or to Drops. Anything sent that you didn't pick waits in Jelly for you to keep or skip. Rides and hikes come with their route from RideWithGPS, Strava, PJAMM, Komoot or AllTrails.writes
update_placeChanges a place Claude added: a better note, the route link, the right name. Places you saved yourself stay yours.writes
save_planLays out a trip's days in the jar's Week plan, from places already in the jar. It won't replace a plan you made unless you ask.writes
suggest_verdictsAfter a trip, notes how you said places went. You give each verdict yourself in Jelly, one tap each.writes
add_bookingsFiles bookings you share with Claude (a confirmation, or ones it finds in your email if you've connected it there) into a trip. They join the trip next time you open Jelly.writes
check_tripChecks a trip for gaps and clashes: a night with no stay, plans before your flight lands, a morning's places far apart.reads
who_has_beenFinds your Jelly buddies who've saved places somewhere, so you know who to ask.reads
suggest_trip_noteDrafts a trip's note for its wrap-up. You use it or write your own.writes
remember_preferenceSaves a preference you tell Claude, like "small luxury inns, no chains", so later plans start from it.writes

Privacy

What Claude reads from Jelly becomes part of your conversation in your own Claude account, under Anthropic's terms and privacy policy. Jelly never receives your conversations, only the specific requests Claude makes, like "add these places to my Lisbon jar". If a buddy connects Claude, the places you already share with them can show up in their chats too, just as they do in their Jelly. Your private jars never do. Preferences Claude saves for you are listed in Jelly under Settings › Connected apps, where you can forget any of them. Jelly also records which tools Claude used and the areas and kinds of places it asked about, to improve your recommendations, never your conversations. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

Disconnect

In Jelly, go to Settings › Connected apps and tap Disconnect. Or remove Jelly in Claude's Settings › Connectors. Either one ends the connection.
